WELCOME TO
WINGFIELD
STATION 1947
Wingfield Station is open to the public as a heritage centre, tea room, local community amenity, event space and is also available for private and business hire.
Entirely run by volunteers, the Grade 2-Star listed station has been fully restored to its original May 1840 condition. It is the last surviving station building of the North Midland Railway from Derby to Leeds. The station is also the finest surviving work of its architect Francis Edward Thompson and is the World’s oldest completely original railway station building.
