By rail to the Seven Seas Talk
"By rail to the Seven Seas - the story of how the railways developed Southampton Docks into the World's most important deep sea passenger port". Speaker John Abbott.
This talk marks National Merchant Navy Week and is to be held at 7:30PM on Thursday, 3 September 2026.
The venue is Wingfield Station. A refreshment interval is scheduled at 8:30PM and the talk finishes at 10PM. Tickets including refreshments are priced at £10 per person. All proceeds to Wingfield Station.

"Railway sale and model exhibition" Sat 7 March and Sun 8 March. Event opens at 10 and closes at 16.00 both days. Venue is the All Saints Church Hall, Holme Lane, South Wingfield.

You are invited to talk all about life at Wingfield Station in the 1960s by Alan Kitchen. Alan is the son of the last Station Master at Wingfield. Alan will share all his core memories, stories and anecdotes of station life using his extensive photographic collection.
Tickets cost £10 (including tea/coffee and light refreshments available)
